This is the reason why lack of proper care is one of the major reasons for accidents involving this equipment. Regular inspection is essential to help ensure the highest level of elevator safety.

Hydraulic lifts require a substantial amount of energy to raise the cab, which is why they are not commonly found in tall buildings. These systems also operate at speeds up to 150 ft/min. or less, making them slower than other types of lifts. Because of these factors, hydraulic lifts are only for buildings up to seven floors tall.
