Dumbwaiter Elevator

The residential dumbwaiter has seen many improvements to its design over its long history, and this unique invention remains useful to 21st-century homeowners in a variety of ways. Today, Nationwide Lifts is proud to offer the Jeeves EcoLift. These dumbwaiters are simple and cost effective and are available in two standard sizes, with custom sizes available.

Dumbwaiter lifts require a substantial amount of energy to raise the cab, which is why they are not commonly found in tall buildings. These systems also operate at speeds up to 150 ft/min. or less, making them slower than other types of lifts. Because of these factors, Dumbwaiter lifts are only for buildings up to seven floors tall.
